The gay church has come to Malaysia. Let us not be the proverbial ostrich, burying our heads in the sand. Its debut will now open the floodgates to evil, ungodly church practices of unimaginable proportion. Here is an account from the pen of Rev Allen and is verifiable from the website.

Updates on Gay Church in Malaysia

Thank you for your concern about the gay church. Prior to his two meetings on Aug 11 & 12 at Grand Olympic Hotel (near Merdeka Stadium KL), Oyoung Wen Feng is having a road-show for 5 days from Aug 5 to 9 at Penang, Johor Baru, KL & Singapore. Again Sin Chew Jit Poh made the publicity on Aug 5. This shows that Oyoung is aggressive in pushing through the Gay-agenda in Malaysia.
If we do not stop him now, pretty soon Malaysia will have many gay churches. A pastor told me that Rev. Troy Perry has planted 200 gay churches in America. Is it true? Could anyone give us the answer especially those who are in America? Their church is Metropolitan Community Church New York. By the way, Troy is not the senior pastor, but the founder of MCCNY. The senior pastor is Rev Bumgardner.

Very soon, our friends and relatives would be invited to attend the weddings of their members. Alamak! Their spouse is of the same sex! Very soon, all our true churches will have real struggles with youth ministry. We pray that youth pastors would work harder because we are fighting for souls with gay churches.
Given this development we need to respond wisely. But our response depends on an understanding of the subject of homosexuality. Questions related to the issue must be examined under the searchlights of Science and Scripture. Is homosexual inclination genetic?
Should not our rights to have individual liberties entitle us to live it out as an alternate lifestyle? Is Scripture silent on the subject? Let us allow Science and Scripture be the arbiters. Let them provide us with biological and biblical insight into this subject of homosexuality, which today's society has euphemistically termed as alternate lifestyle.
Definition
What is homosexuality? By definition homosexuality involves thoughts or actions in adult life motivated by a definite erotic (sexual-genital–orgiastic) attraction to member of the same sex, usually but not necessary leading to sexual relations.
Let Science Speak Out
The popular argument we hear is that it is doing what comes naturally. It is as natural as our left-handedness. It is so because such orientation is genetically determined. What does Science have to say to that? Well there are 3 well-known studies to prove the above assertion but each is seriously flawed as to make them unscientific.
1.
Study 1 by Simon Levay (Reference 1)
-
The study involved the post mortem studies on brains of 19 homosexual men, who had died from AIDS and 16 presumed heterosexual men, six of whom died of AIDS. His results suggested to brains of heterosexual men consistently had more brain cells in specific area of the brain (INAH 3) believed to be involved in sexual behaviours. In other words there is, therefore, a causative link between the brain activity and homosexual behaviour. Such a conclusion is not tenable for the following reasons:
i.
it is not reproducible in other studies;
ii.
the results of the study are influenced by the confounding factor of AIDS in the study population; and
iii.
the sample size is far too small to draw any clear and indisputable conclusions.
Hence no conclusion should have been made from the study. Its limitations have been widely acknowledged. In fact, Science even published a letter to the editor, taking issue with him for the premature publication of such an article that is of dubious quality. (Reference 2)

The offered conclusion is that the closer the genetic relationship, the higher the rate of shared homosexuality. Can we accept such a conclusion? I say not because the study is flawed in the followings ways:
i.
Sampling biases (the subjects were recruited through homosexual publications);
ii.
The non-reproducibility of the study;
iii.
The profound influence of twins on each other cannot be ignored. This is even evident in siblings who are not related. For instance, a high rate of homosexuality (11%) is observed among the adopted brothers of homosexuals.
If one should make any conclusion, it should be that the study proved that homosexuality cannot be entirely attributed to genetics.

Study 3 by Dean H Hamer et al. of the National Institute of Health (Reference 4)

It is a study to establish the linkage between DNA Markers on the X Chromosome and Male Sexual Orientation. Again this study at microscopic level suffers from methodological flaws.
Here again is a study that cannot be duplicated and it has been largely discredited.
Let Scriptures Speak
In dealing with this hot issue, many valiant attempts have been made to do away with Scriptures. For instance, both psychological and biological influences have offered as plausible explanations for the development of homosexuality. Here, I would urge utmost caution, for Scripture warns us that it is not what influences that make us that unclean. Rather, it is what comes from within – "For from within, out of the heart, proceed evil thoughts, adulterous, fornications… lasciviousness…. All these evil things come from within and defile the men (Mark 7: 21-23).
Here is another one. Homosexuality has to do with one's preferences and one's choice.
Therefore, it is a norm that must be tolerated and accepted by all and sundry! Moreover, proponents of this alternate lifestyle, say that it is not addressed in Scripture. Really? Not so, friends. The biblical response could not have been more straightforward. Homosexuality need not be learnt any more than it is for a child to learn to how throw tantrums. Homosexuality is a sin and, like any other sin e.g. anger, jealousy, is embedded in our fallen nature. It cannot be dismissed as a morally neutral constitution and in the process, be euphemistically reduced to the practice of an alternate lifestyle. Scripture, uncompromisingly, denounced it as blatant, wanton sin and that neither the effeminate nor abusers of themselves with mankind shall inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6: 9 - 10)
Old Testament (OT)
Both Old Testament and New Testament prohibit the practice of homosexuality with no exception. Although the details of sexual practices of the OT times are unclear, yet the numbers of prohibitions against the range of sexual possibilities are numerous and unequivocal. For instance, in Leviticus 18: 22 the injunction against homosexuality could not have been clearer. "Thou shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." The "womankind" in this instance refers to a biblically sanctioned, marital relationship. See also Leviticus 20: 13, "If a man lieth with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." There is neither exception nor excuse whatsoever. Not even loyalty and love for the same sex partner is tenable to justify the alternate life style practice.
New Testament (NT)
The NT is equally unsparing in its warnings against such wicked practice. The NT is more explicit in naming the perverted sexual practices. In fact, both the Greco-Roman culture had every form of homosexuality conceivable. Yet, Paul was unmitigating in his condemnation of an ungodly practice that is an expression of an idolatrous heart. It is the love of self that leads to such abomination. Herein, lies the root of the problem. It is the sinful proclivity to exchange our allegiance to God for allegiance to self. Here is what Paul had to say.
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. (Romans 1: 26-27)
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6: 9-10)
Conclusion
The launching of the gay church in Malaysia, has added another burden to the church of Jesus Christ. By the grace of God, EBPC will never be a part of it, however persuasive and seductive may be the voices of the devil. Nonetheless, just as Christ hate sin but love the sinner, we will minister in love to those who struggle with homosexuality but we will hate the sin of homosexuality. EBPC is an open door to all who are in such distress. We will lovingly reach out to such a one by speaking the truth in love. After all, did not our Lord say that He has not called the righteous but rather the sinners to repentance? God help EBPC. Amen.

In Everything Give Thanks
On last Thursday 16th August 2007 after withdrawing money from the bank, we were tailed by a group of robbers from the bank to school and to home. Within a minute, the money was snapped. We were shocked and could not do anything as the robbers were armed with knives. However, we still want to thank God.
1. None of us got hurt.
2. Beside the cash (though quite a big sum), we suffered no further loss.
3. The money is our personal money and not the Church or Kindergarten.
